Some years ago, after my brother and I had moved out, my parents back in Colorado bought their dream house: big kitchen, mountain view, plenty of room for the visiting grandkids. And it is lovely to sit and watch sunsets from their deck, maybe with a long lens on my camera. Sometimes the sky lights up neon orange and blue, a classic Colorado sunset. Sometimes the usual summer thunderstorms linger into the evening, colors changing fast as the sun dodges in and out of those distant, blowing sheets of water.
